VIA Rail Canada continues its partnership with Mood Disorders Society of Canada to Defeat Depression!
 

Mood Disorders Society of Canada (MDSC) is very pleased to announce that VIA Rail Canada is again sponsoring the national Defeat Depression campaign.  

 

VIA Rail’s sponsorship aligns with their mission to ‘strive to make a real difference in the communities we call home’.   VIA will be supporting the campaign through a Pan-Canadian travel package worth $13,000. This partnership brings exciting campaign news for the 2019 Defeat Depression event participants and is sure to encourage even more people to take part in supporting the mental health programs and services in their communities.   “Via Rail Canadas’ support of the national Defeat Depression campaign continues to illustrate that as Via Rail touches communities from coast to coast, so does our efforts to defeat depression and the impact that it has on all communities nationally!”, states MDSC’s National Executive Director, Dave Gallson.

Defeat Depression is a national mental health fundraising campaign created by MDSC that supports local community mental health organizations. All across Canada, volunteers organize walks, runs and other physical and social activities to raise funds to be used locally.
