Welcome!
The Defeat Depression campaign is a national fundraising campaign designed to allow individuals and organizations to raise funds in support of local mental health programs and services. The campaign has grown into a national movement bringing awareness and fighting stigma one event at a time.

The Defeat Depression Campaign is held in cities and towns across Canada. With many events happening throughout the year! Family, friends, neighbours and communities across Canada will
join together to support mental health awareness and promote discussion around depression and
other mood disorders.
Our fundraising events include walks, runs, rides and other physical and social activities hosted in cities and towns across Canada whose purpose is to raise awareness about mental illness, reduce negative beliefs and stereotypes about depression and other mood disorders, and encourage Canadians to become more involved with their mental well-being. Funds raised through these activities support local organizations that provide direct service to individuals affected by mental illness and their families.
Join us, we need your help!
We are looking for people who are passionate about mental health. You can be a host organization, help sponsor an event, volunteer to help organize a walk in your community, or participate in an event in your local area. As many as one in five Canadians will experience mental illness this year and the need for community mental health services has never been greater. We invite you to join thousands of Canadians who are working together to defeat depression and start talking about mental health.
